What is Codeye?
Codeye is a mobile web inspector for developers. It lets you inspect websites from your iPhone: console logs, network requests, DOM, storage, cookies, and WebSocket messages. Operated by Just4Work (France).
Data we collect
- Account data — email address and name when you sign in (via Clerk).
- AI usage data — when using the AI Assistant, the URL and title of the page you inspect and your chat messages are sent to our server and forwarded to an AI model. We do not store these conversations.
- Subscription data — purchase status and transaction history, managed by RevenueCat. We do not store payment card details.
- Debug sessions — saved locally on your device only. We never upload your debug sessions, cookies, or network logs to our servers.
Legal basis for processing (GDPR)
- Contract performance — processing your account data and subscription status is necessary to provide the service.
- Legitimate interest — app security and fraud prevention.
How we use your data
- Account data is used solely to authenticate you and provide access to Pro features.
- AI chat messages are used to generate responses. They are not stored or used for training.
- We do not sell, share, or monetize your data with third parties for advertising.
Third-party services
- Clerk — authentication. Stores your email and name.
- RevenueCat — subscription management. Receives purchase events from the App Store.
- Third-party AI provider — receives your chat messages to generate responses. Messages are not stored or used for training.
International data transfers
Some of our third-party service providers (including authentication and subscription management) are based in the United States. Your data may be transferred to and processed in the US. These transfers are subject to appropriate safeguards (standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms) as required by applicable law.
Data retention and deletion
Account data is retained until you delete your account. You can delete your account at any time from the Settings screen — this permanently removes your account and associated data from Clerk.
Debug sessions are stored locally on your device and can be deleted from the Sessions tab.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access, correct, or delete your personal data.
- Restrict or object to processing.
- Data portability.
- Withdraw consent at any time (where processing is based on consent).
- California residents (CCPA): We do not sell personal information. You have the right to know what data we collect and to request deletion.

Security
All communication between the app and our servers is encrypted via HTTPS. Authentication tokens are stored in the iOS Keychain.
Children
Codeye is intended for users aged 16 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
